NORCA & Sistema in Norwich is looking to recruit instrumental tutors to deliver the Sistema in Norwich Orchestra model at two locations in Cambridge. The sites will be Bewick Bridge Primary School and Trumpington Meadows Primary School.
Delivery is based on group instrumental tuition and ensemble participation across the main five orchestra instrument groups, Upper Strings, Lower Strings, Wind, Brass and Percussion. The actual instruments covered will depend on tutor proficiency and the location, but wind and brass tutors are expected to be able to teach more than one instrument in the family.
Setting up the programme has been delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic and we are still in the process of discussing details with the schools concerned, but provision is confirmed to start at at least one location after half-term in the Autumn term (November 2020).
When fully up and running we expect 10 hours/week to be available and we are looking to recruit 5 tutors, one for each of the instrumental groupings. Of the four weekly sessions, three will be after school (probably Tues, Weds and Thurs, roughly 3 to 5.30pm) and one in school time.
Salary: £23,500 to £26,000 per annum pro rata (depending on skills and experience)
